Nova Jean Pinkley

Nova Jean Pinkley of St. Mary died on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at her home. She was 78 years old.
She was born June 5, 1941 in Reynolds County, a daughter of Nova Johnson and Della (Counts) Johnson.
She was married to Claude Pinkley on September 15, 2001, and he survives in St. Mary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Albert Bieser and his wife Trina of Irondale, David Bieser and his special friend Pat Kline of St. Mary; two daughters, Deborah Bieser and her special friend Jeff Spraul of Ste. Genevieve, Billy Michelle Lankford of St. Mary; one stepdaughter, Tina Sanford and her husband Dave of O’Fallon, Missouri; one stepson, Joseph Pinkley and his wife Sarah of St. Louis; two sisters, Faye Akins of Ironton, Letha Cox and her husband Willard of Ste. Genevieve; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Pike; five brothers, Oman Johnson, Cletus Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Roy Johnson, Albert Johnson; two sisters, Gladys Carver, Violet Vance; and her second husband, Billy Lankford
She was member of the Ste. Genevieve Eagles, VFW Auxiliary, Country Music Associates, and Ste. Genevieve Nutrition Center. She enjoyed working with people in home health. She loved traveling, dancing, singing, and going to yard sales. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Services are private. Burial will be at Kaskaskia Cemetery in Kaskaskia, Illinois. Basler Funeral Home of Ste. Genevieve is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Crown Hospice or to the Country Music Associates Hall.
