Valle Catholic Families Celebrate Virtual Spirit Week

Valle Catholic Schools celebrated Virtual Spirit Week the week of March 23 to March 27. Students and school families participated through social media, including Facebook and Instagram. Monday was “Move it Monday,” as families shared pictures of students getting out and being active. The Early Childhood Development teachers and staff traveled around the county, waving, honking and driving by as many of their students’ homes as they could. Tuesday was “Tech Tuesday.” Pictures featured different learning locations and how students were staying connected with their virtual classrooms and teachers. “Warrior Wednesday” encouraged school families to proudly wear blue and white to show school spirit. Thursday was “Thankful Thursday” to celebrate gratitude and why we are thankful. Friday was “Flat Father Friday.” First-grade teacher Donna Herzog and second-grade teacher Kelsey Roth sent students a “Flat Father.” This was based on the children’s book “Flat Stanley,” but in the likeness of Valle Catholic president Rev. Edward Nemeth. Students sent in photos of all of the activities “Flat Father” has been doing during this time at home. Reading was the most popular, but he did manage to sneak in some fishing and farming. School families also participated in the Community Spirit Day with other local schools, a day designed to promote community unity. (Photos, information from Valle Catholic Schools)
