Two More Contested County Races Take Shape On Final Day Of Filing

Two candidates filed for races in Ste. Genevieve County during the final days before the March 31 deadline.

One of the filings set up a primary race in August and the other set up a general election showdown for November.

Karen A. Stuppy filed as a Democrat for First District County Commission seat and will challenge incumbent Randy Bahr in the August primary.

Robin L. Naeger filed as a Republican for Public Administrator. She will face incumbent Mary Jo Ramer, a Democrat, in the November general election.

The other contested races for county positions are for the Second District County Commission seat held by Democrat Joe Gettinger, who did not file for re-election. Randy Ruzicka and Don Kuehn are running for the Republican nomination, while Micah Rousey and Tony Ritter are running for the Democratic nomination.

See the complete list of candidates, including state and federal seats, in the April 8 edition of the Herald.
