SGHS FBLA Members Earn Medals At District Leadership Conference

The Ste. Genevieve High School (SGHS) Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter recently participated in the FBLA District Leadership Conference.

Students competed in a variety of business subjects, and competitions included objective tests, presentations and projects.

Nineteen members of the SGHS FBLA chapter competed,  and several students received medals in their events.

Results for SGHS FBLA members were as follows:

Emily Abt: electronic career portfolio, first place (state qualifier); journalism, third place (state qualifier).

Virginia Akins: agribusiness, second place (state qualifier); economics, fourth place (state qualifier); personal finance, second place (state qualifier).

Ashley Armstrong: accounting, second place (state qualifier); organizational leadership, fifth place (state qualifier).

Alina Bader: database design and applications, second place (state qualifier); spreadsheet applications, fourth place.

Katie Beck: public speaking, first place (state qualifier).

Bella Burton: accounting I, fifth place (state qualifier); job interview, first place (state qualifier).

Austin Fallert: accounting, first place (state qualifier).

Katie Filer: advertising, fourth place (state qualifier).

Emma Fisher: graphic design, fourth place.

Alyssa Huber: computer applications, first place (state qualifier).

Lana Kemper: intro to business, fourth place (state qualifier); intro to FBLA, second place (state qualifier); intro to financial math, fourth place (state qualifier).

Justin Kent: personal finance, fifth place (state qualifier).

Brittney Kreitler: spreadsheet applications, first place (state qualifier); word processing, first place (state qualifier).

Kristen Parmeley: accounting, fourth place (state qualifier); business law, second place (state qualifier).

Hannah Reeves: journalism, first place (state qualifier).

Annie Yang: computer applications, second place (state qualifier).
