St. Agnes School Celebrates Catholic Schools Week With Various Activities

St. Agnes School in Bloomsdale celebrated Catholic Schools Week from January 26 to January 31. The week kicked off on January 26 with Holy Mass followed by an open house, an ice cream social, and the Scholastic Book Fair. On January 27, students showed appreciation to their community by bringing in pet supplies which were donated to Fourche Valley Rescue and the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Shelter. January 28 was student appreciation day, and students were able to dress in comfortable clothes and were treated to a movie and snack in the afternoon. Students showed appreciation to their parish on January 29 by bringing canned goods and personal care items for St. Vincent DePaul and making cards for home-bound parishioners. For Parent Appreciation Day on January 30, parents were given a small token of appreciation at morning drop-off, and students wrote letters of appreciation to them. January 31 was Teacher Appreciation Day, so teachers were treated to a special breakfast and lunch.
