Application For Dispensary On Plaza Drive Fails To Gain Approval From State
An application for a medical marijuana dispensary was not among those receiving approval late last month when the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) announced 24 approved dispensaries in each of Missouri’s eight congressional districts.
40 Plaza LLC’s application for a medical marijuana dispensary at 44 Plaza Drive scored 1300.64 in the dispensary facility final score report the department released on January 24.
The lowest-scoring approved facility in the Eighth Congressional District received a 1468.27; the highest had a score of 1651.91. The lowest score in the district was 397.47.
Approved applications in the district were listed as being located in Cape Girardeau (4), Farmington (3), Hayti, Festus (2), Park Hills, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, West Plains (2), Salem, Rolla, Fredericktown, Mountain Grove, St. James, Jackson, Kennett, Hillsboro and New Madrid.
There were more than 1,100 applications statewide for 192 licenses.
Sales are expected to begin in the summer, according to media outlets that have reported that DHSS won’t begin making inspections of facilities until March.
When cultivation and manufacturing applications were scored late last year as part of the process in the wake of voter approval of medical marijuana in November of 2018, GF Saint Mary LLC was approved for two of its three cultivation permit applications.
The address used by GF Saint Mary LLC was 18629 Nokk Drive, off of Route Z near Interstate 55, in an unincorporated part of the county.
