Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office Report (Jan. 4-10)

The following are incident reports from the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office for January 4 to January 10:

Arrested person, 9; alarm activation, 4; animal control, 9; assist other agency, 1; burglary, 2; careless and imprudent, 2; check the well-being, 8; disturbance, 6; hang-up call (911), 3; harassment, 2; motorist assist, 2; motor vehicle accident, 10; property damage, 1; residential fire, 1; shots fired, 1; suspicious person/situation, 16; traffic hazard, 3; trespassing, 3.

Arrested Persons

Tony Steven Ward, white male, DOB: 2/06/1986, of Union, Missouri, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant through Ste. Genevieve County on the following original charges: resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing; driving while revoked/suspended—first offense; exceeded posted speed limit (exceeded by 20 to 25 miles per hour); fail to display plates on motor vehicle/trailer; failed to equip motor vehicle with rear license lamp; operated a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner; owner operated motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. No bond allowed.

Tyler J. Litterest, white male, DOB: 6/15/1995, of Ste. Genevieve was arrested on a warrant through Ste. Genevieve County on the following charges: littering—first offense; failure to register motor vehicle; fail to signal/gave improper signal when stopping/turning left or right. Bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

Turrell James Holloway, white male, DOB: 9/23/1987, of Bonne Terre was arrested on the following warrants: failure-to-appear warrant through Desloge Police Department on the original charge of shoplifting (bond was set at $500.00 cash only); failure-to-appear warrant through Desloge Police Department on the original charge of property damage (bond was set at $500.00 cash only).

Michael Anthony Taylor, black male, DOB: 2/29/1988, of St. Louis was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant through Ste. Genevieve County on the original charge of failed to wear a safety belt. Bond was set at $10.00 cash only.

Benjamin Aloysius Bauman, white male, DOB: 2/22/1981, of St. Mary was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant through Ste. Genevieve County on the following original charges: DWI—alcohol; fail to drive on right half of roadway when roadway was of sufficient width; owner operated motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. No bond allowed.

January 4

Deputies were called to mile marker 162 on Interstate 55 for animal control.

Deputies were called to the 14000 block of Route O for animal control.

Deputies were called to the 14000 block of Quarry Town Road for an alarm.

Deputies were called to the area of Eisenbeis Bottom Road and Route M to investigate smoke in the area.

Deputies were called to the 17000 block of St. Mary’s Church Road for a suspicious person.

Deputies were called to the 14000 block of Route T for a motor vehicle accident.

Deputies were called to the area of Highway 32 and Lake Genevieve Drive for animal control.

Deputies were called to the area of Route O and Highway 32 for animal control.

Deputies were called to the 22000 block of Gordon Road to assist another agency.

Deputies were called to the 12000 block of Park Drive to check the well-being.

January 5

Deputies were called to the 100 block of South Fourth Street for a suspicious vehicle.

Deputies were called to the 16000 block of Weingarten Road for suspicious activity.

Deputies were called to mile marker 142 on I-55 for a suspicious vehicle.

Deputies were called to the area of Highway 61 and Holst Road to check the well-being.

Deputies were called to the 5000 block of Valley View Road for a disturbance.

Deputies were called to the 20000 block of Highway 61 for a burglary.

Deputies were called to mile marker 142 on I-55 for a motorist assist.

Deputies were called to mile marker 143 on I-55 to check the well-being.

January 6

Deputies were called to mile marker 137 on I-55 for a careless driver.

Deputies were called to the 20000 block of Highway 61 for trespassing.

Deputies were called to mile marker 141 on I-55 for a careless driver.

Deputies were called to the 14000 block of Highway 61 for a 911 hang-up call.

Deputies were called to the area of Lime Kiln Road and Ponderosa for a motor vehicle accident.

Deputies were called to the 50 block of Mill Hill Road for an alarm.

Deputies were called to the 9000 block of Sunset Drive for property damage.

Deputies were called to the 8000 block of Terry Lee Drive for a 911 hang-up call.

Deputies were called to the 21000 block of Chestnut Ridge Road regarding child custody.

Deputies were called to the 8000 block of Archambo Lane for shots fired.

This is a partial listing of activity investigated by the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office. Except for arrests this report does not reflect actions initiated by our personnel, rather calls for service only. Also, a criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law. Some cases are currently under investigation; any citizen with additional information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office with any information you may have.
