Vidacak Will Assist County Health Department As Emergency Planner

Ste. Genevieve County Health Department director Sandra Bell introduced Jeana Vidacak as the department’s new emergency planner.

Vidacak works out of the Jefferson County Health Department in Hillsboro and works by contract for Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois counties. Ste. Genevieve has a contract for about $16,000 to pay for emergency preparedness costs.

“We have certain capabilities we have to meet in addition to our other activities,” Bell said. “Some of our other activities are the CERT [Community Emergency Response Team] programs we do and preparing for disasters. I can do all the other stuff; it’s the capability work that I’m having trouble with. I did it for the last eight years, but they changed it up so much I’m not understanding all we have to get done.
