The 2020 Eagle Fest event will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, at the Jerry F. Costello Lock & Dam, 4800 Lock and Dam Road, in Modoc, Illinois.
The annual event includes eagle-watching with spotting scopes; birds from the World Bird Sanctuary; an Edible Animals presentation given by Animology, formerly the Natural History Education Co. of the MidSouth; and tours of the lock and dam.
The event is free to all — families and leash-trained dogs welcome. As final plans come together more details will be released.
