Lester J. Huber
Lester J. Huber of Ste. Genevieve died on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was 92 years old.
He was born March 16, 1927, in Festus, a son of Edward Huber and Martha (Stoll) Huber.
He was married to Dorothy M. (Hogard) Huber on April 18, 1953, and she survives in Ste. Genevieve.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Huber and his wife Debby of Ste. Genevieve, Steve Huber and his wife Debbie of Ste. Genevieve; three daughters, Linda Bruce of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Theresa Shaner of Fort Collins, Colorado, Alaina Kraenzle and her husband Keith of Ste. Genevieve; one brother, Francis Huber of Ste. Genevieve; and three sisters, Loretta “Sis” Moser of Ste. Genevieve, Anna Mae “Boots” Bader of Ste. Genevieve, Lucille Bader of Ste. Genevieve; 12 grandchildren;, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of American Legion Post 150. He was an avid woodworker and loved to work in his shop. He made toys, lawn furniture, inside furniture and crosses.
Funeral services were Thursday, January 9, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. Edward Nemeth officiated. Military services provided by VFW Post 2210. Basler Funeral Home of Ste. Genevieve handled the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice or family use.
