Fundraisers
CHRISTMAS WRAPPING
Hope Christian Academy students will hold a donation-only Christmas gift-wrapping fundraiser on Tuesday, December 17, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Hope Church, 30 Triangle Drive. People are invited to enjoy a soup and salad dinner while students (with help from teachers/parents) wrap your Christmas presents. Donations are for the regional convention trip to Warrensburg, Missouri, in March of 2020.
COMMUNITY DINNER
Audubon’s Grill and Bar will host a fundraising community dinner on Tuesday, January 21, to benefit the Woman’s Club of Ste. Genevieve’s scholarship program for students at both local schools.
Blood Drive

An American Red Cross blood drive will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, 800 Ste. Genevieve Drive.
Health & Wellness
TAI CHI FOR ARTHRITIS
Tai Chi for Arthritis, an easy-to-learn, safe and effective exercise program that improves health of the mind and body, is being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ste. Genevieve Progress Sports Complex, starting on January 7. A registration fee of $50 is required before the first class and must be paid to the Ste. Genevieve County Extension Office. The class is being taught by certified instructor, Bethany Bachmann, University of Missouri Extension nutrition and healthy education specialist. Class size is limited to 12 people.

SANTA’S BASH
The Ste. Genevieve County Community Center will host its annual Santa’s Bash and Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 14. The bash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. offers free activities for kids such as crafts, games, photos with Santa Claus, a balloon artist from Way Cool Balloons will return. The Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature vendors from various companies selling holiday gift items.
CHRISTMAS AT THE FAIR
The Ste. Genevieve County Fair Board’s seventh annual Christmas at the Fair event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 14. The event includes photos with Santa for $5, a gift for children 11 and under (while supplies last), children’s games and activities, a bake sale, and more. Donation of two canned goods is good for free games or $1 off the picture with Santa. Concessions will be available.
HOLIDAY LIGHTS TOUR
Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary, 19620 Crown Ridge Road in Ste. Genevieve, will host the Holiday Lights Tour from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 21. Participants can see what the tigers do after dark, as the sanctuary grounds will be lit up by hundreds of holiday lights. Activities include decorating cookies, a hot chocolate bar and holiday crafts. Tickets are $10 per person (children 3 and under are free) and must be purchased prior to arrival and for a specific date. Visit our crownridgetigers.com/events, to purchase tickets. GUIGNOLEE WATCH PARTY
French Colonial America will host a La Guignolee Watch Party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, at the Centre for French Colonial Life, 198 Market St. Included in the free festivities are: Dennis Stroughmatt performing in concert, period games, food and drink, Stroughmatt performing with La Guignolee at both the Bolduc House and the Centre for French Colonial Life.
FROSTY BREWFEST
The eighth annual Frosty Brewfest and Spirits event is on tap, again showcasing the best regional brews, on Saturday, January 25, at Crown Valley Winery in Ste. Genevieve. Local breweries and distilleries join together to sample their seasonal and fan-favorite beers and spirits. Event includes live music, catered lunch and cold drinks available for purchase as well. The event will take place outdoors, but a fire pit and heaters will be available. General admission tickets are $35 in advance and allow access from noon to 4 p.m. and a souvenir tasting glass. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event for $45.

Celebrate Recovery meets at 6 p.m. each Wednesday at Hope Church, 30 Triangle Drive. Dinner is served from 6 to 6:30 p.m.; large group meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; small groups meet from 7:30 to 8 p.m. For information, call 573-883-8984.
