Basler Funeral Home Continues Tree Of Memories Program
The Basler family began the Tree of Memories Program in December of 1998 in recognition of its 100 years of dedicated funeral service to the Ste. Genevieve community.
“Since then the program has become an important part of the Christmas season for us,” said Eric Basler of Basler Funeral Home.
The Baslers invite people to celebrate Christmas by celebrating the life of a loved one lost during the past year.
“The annual Tree of Memories program is available at no cost to anyone who has lost a loved one during the past year [December 2018 through November 2019], no matter what funeral home conducted the service,” Basler said.
“A Christmas tree is decorated in memory of those special loved ones and placed in the foyer of Basler Funeral Home. Upon written request, a personalized ornament bearing your loved one’s name will be placed on the tree. The loved one’s name will also be entered into a special ‘Book of Memories.’ Both the tree and the book will be displayed throughout the Christmas season,” said Basler.
A special memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, at Basler Funeral Home, 685 Center Drive, Ste. Genevieve.
