Ste. Genevieve County Teen Killed In Accident On Hwy. 61

Quenton J. Duvall, 19, of Ste. Genevieve, died in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, December 4, on Highway 61 in Ste. Genevieve County, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident took place around 6:12 p.m. in the 8300 block of Highway 61, just north of Establishment Creek near Bloomsdale.

Duvall was driving a 2015 Honda CBR500R motorcycle southbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2016 Buick Envision being driven northbound by Kelsey R. Kertz, 28, of Ste. Genevieve.

Duvall was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:38 p.m. by County Coroner Eric Basler.

Kertz suffered minor injuries and was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by private conveyance.

Both Kertz and Duvall were wearing safety devices, according to the report.
