SGMS Student Earns Seat In All-District Junior High Band

Ste. Genevieve Middle School eighth-grader Penny Yang earned 13th chair flute in the 2019 East-Central District No. 7 All-District Junior High Band. Each year, students from area schools audition for a seat in the all-district junior high band, which then rehearses together before hosting a concert. This year’s concert took place on November 9 at Sullivan High School. The guest conductor was Chip De Stafano, director of bands at McCracken Middle School in Skokie, Illinois.
