Local School Organizations Team Up To Thank Law Enforcement Agencies This Fall

During the annual Old Settlement Rivalry football game on September 6, Ste. Genevieve High School and Valle Catholic High School joined forces to honor local law enforcement agencies. During halftime of the game at Ste. Genevieve High School, students from both schools took the opportunity to thank the members of the city of Ste. Genevieve Police Department, the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The students also gave a donation to each of the three agencies. Officers representing Ste. Genevieve Police Department were chief Eric Bennet, officer Nick Cusanelli and his K9 partner, Mario, and school resource officer Christy Clark. Representing the Sheriff’s Office were Sheriff Gary Stolzer and chief deputy Jason Schott. Representing the Missouri State Highway Patrol were master sergeant Brad Sevier, corporal Brent Fowler and trooper Matt Morice. Ste. Genevieve High School Student Council president Ella Reed and Valle Student Council president Bree Vessell presented the donation to the Ste. Genevieve Police Department. Ste. Genevieve High School Student Council vice president Jaida Greminger and Valle Student Ambassador president Ben Bader presented a donation to the Sheriff’s Office. Ste. Genevieve High School National Honor Society vice president Julia McKlin and Valle National Honor Society president Rachel Loida presented a donation to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
