Schmidt To Tour With CMU Chorale Singers

Ian Schmidt, a freshman at Central Methodist University (CMU) in Fayette, Missouri, will soon take the show on the road with the Chorale Singers, as the group embarks on its annual tour.

Schmidt, a vocal performance major from Ste. Genevieve, will be one of 31 students involved in the tour.

Dr. Claude Westfall. director of choral activities at CMU, will lead the group as it visits more than a dozen locations from Thursday, November 21, through Wednesday, November 26.

The CMU Chorale Singers will visit more than half a dozen high schools and churches on the tour. A few of the show times still are being finalized, due to the high demand for the performances.

The tentative schedule for the tour includes the following stops in the St. Louis area:

November 22 — Eureka High School, 11:57 a.m.; Gray Summit United Methodist Church (UMC), 7 p.m.

November 23 — First UMC St. Charles, 7 a.m.

November 24 — First UMC St. Charles, 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m.; Wentzville UMC, 7 p.m.
