County Man Injured In October 25 Crash That Was Fatal For Motorcyclist
A Ste. Genevieve man suffered minor injuries in an October 25 accident in Jefferson County that resulted in fatal injuries to the driver of a motorcycle, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 2:42 a.m. on Highway 61 at Route AA in Jefferson County.
A male juvenile from Festus was driving a 2012 Ford Escape westbound on Route AA when he failed to stop for a posted stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle being driven southbound on Highway 61 by Stephen A. Fauller, 40, of Hillsboro, Missouri. The motorcycle struck the side of the Ford Escape.
Fauller was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.
He was taken to the St. Louis County Morgue by Schaefers Mortuary Transport.
He was wearing a safety device, according to the report.
Zachary S. Chambers, 20, a passenger in the Ford Escape, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by the Joachim-Plattin Ambulance.
Chambers was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Ford Escape also was not wearing a seat belt, but had no reported injuries, according to the report.

Tony S. Ward, 33, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound on Dry Fork Road when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a bluff. Ward overcorrected and traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
He was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
