Some discussion of county road work took place at last Thursday’s County Commission meeting, despite road and bridge foreman Scott Schmieder’s absence. Schmieder was busy directing his crews, who were wrapping up paving of Madden Creek Road.
Chip-and-seal work started on it last Wednesday and concluded Thursday morning.
Nelson said it “didn’t start off as planned,” since the crew ran out of oil and had to quit about 2 p.m. the first day.
Carron Road is next on the list. A spot needs to be found to store rock nearby, Nelson said.
