The Ste. Genevieve Chamber of Commerce last week recognized its annual scholarship winners. Scholarships are awarded to one student each from Valle and Ste. Genevieve high schools. The Valle winner was Jordan Weiler, who said he plans to study control systems technology and electronic automation at Ranken Tech. Makenzie Heifner was the winner from Ste. Genevieve High School. She plans to study nursing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The first Duane Donze Memorial Music Scholarship, presented in memory of the sound engineer for the chamber’s Summer Music Series who died in 2018, was awarded to Geneva Crump of Ste.
