Tourism Tax Commission: Ad Expenditures Approved; Promotion Strategy Discussed; Officers Elected
The city of Ste. Genevieve’s Tourism Tax Commission during its July 23 meeting approved $4,922 in advertising expenditures, elected officers, welcomed a new member and discussed future promotion strategies.
Tourism director Sandra Cabot also went over the commission’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2020, which begins October 1.
EXPENDITURES ARE APPROVED
The commission approved two more months of search engine marketing through Madden Media at $660 — with the Missouri Division of Tourism paying an equal amount — and $2,820 for another six months of rack cards distribution through CTM Media Group.
The company has delivered batches of the rack cards to motels, visitors centers and other locations along Interstate 55, as well as in Kansas City, Missouri; Belleville, Illinois; and other locations.
KOETTING AGAIN TO LEAD COMMISSION
In the election of officers, Jack Koetting was unanimously elected to serve another year as president or chairman. Mike Fallert was voted vice president, and Lawrence Myers as secretary.
