St. Mary Man Injured After Falling Asleep In Vehicle
A St. Mary man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Perry County on June 5, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 8:36 a,m. on Highway 61 at Route M.
Kaleb Wingerter, 24, of St. Mary, was driving a 2002 Buick Century southbound on Highway 61 when he fell asleep and his vehicle hit a 2005 Ford F350 being driven northbound by Mark B. Pratt, 58, of Friedheim.
Pratt was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Wingerter was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital by Perry County Ambulance Service.
He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
PERRYVILLE WOMAN INJURED ON I-55 IN STE. GEN. COUNTY
A Perryville woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident on northbound Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve County on June 7.
The accident took place around 11:33 a.m.
Betsy A. Pease, 41, was driving a 2002 Lincoln Towncar just south of mile marker 154.2 when the accident took place.
The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. Pease overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway, where the left front corner of the vehicle struck a rock bluff.
The vehicle then overturned.
Pease was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
She was wearing a seat belt.
