Missouri State Highway Patrol Arrests (June 2-9)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the following arrests in Ste. Genevieve County or involving county residents from June 2 through June 9:

Verne E. Powell, 54, male, of St. Mary was arrested at 7:29 a.m. on June 6 in St. Louis County on a Crystal City Police Department failure-to-appear from expired license plates.

Jeffrey D. Mantels, 57, male of Advance was arrested at 12:21 a.m. on June 7 in Ste. Genevieve County on a patrol charge of possession of a controlled substance (1 gram of heroin).

Benjamin D. Ruiz-Cantu, 49, male, of San Elizario, Texas, was arrested at 11:47 a.m. on June 8 in Ste. Genevieve County on a Harrison County failure-to-appear warrant for weight on tandem axle exceeded 34,000 pounds.

Kimberly M. King, 32, female, of Springfield, Illinois, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. on June 9 in Ste. Genevieve County on patrol charges of possession of a controlled substance — one gram of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and second-degree child endangerment.

Cassandra M. Lusardi, 29, male, of Springfield, Illinois, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. on June 9 in Ste. Genevieve County on patrol charges of possession of a controlled substance — 1 1/2 pill of colnazepam, drug paraphernalia, and less than 10 grams of marijuana.

(The above charges are mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.)
