Two Men Suffer Moderate Injuries In Crash On Route Y
Two men suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Route Y in Ste. Genevieve County this past weekend, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 8:38 p.m. on May 25.
Jesse R. Meyer, 23, of Ste. Genevieve was driving a GMC Sierra eastbound on Route Y west of Interstate 55 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees.
Meyer and a passenger in his vehicle, Kyle T. Brown, 23, of Herculaneum, both suffered moderate injuries.
Both were taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
Neither Meyer nor Brown was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
— A Cape Girardeau man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash that also took place on May 25, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 5:50 a.m. on Highway 32 in New Offenburg.
A 2015 Nissan Frontier driven eastbound by Larry W. Hardin, 40, of Cape Girardeau, crossed the center line and struck the side of a 1994 Ford F150 being driven westbound by Patrick H. Holmes, 76, of St. Louis.
After the impact, the Nissan traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence.
The F150 traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign.
Hardin was transported to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Hardin was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report; Holmes was.
