SGHS Senior Engelmann Awarded Timothy Koetting Memorial Scholarship

Ste. Genevieve High School senior Abbey Engelmann recently received the Timothy Koetting Memorial Scholarship for $500.

She is the daughter of Allen and Dana Engelmann.

The scholarship was created in honor of Timothy Koetting, a Ste. Genevieve High School graduate who enjoyed the arts, music and drama. Mickey and Jack Koetting urge students to spend the funds how they choose, be that for one of their interests or tuition.

Abbey Engelmann is an accomplished vocalist, earning all-conference, all-district and all-state choir. She has had the opportunity to attend the Missouri State Choral Institute and the Oklahoma City University Vocal Arts Institute.

She plans to attend Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, and major in vocal performance.

Her scholastic honors include being ranked in the top 10 percent of the Class of 2019 and earning A honor roll each semester. She also  earned the college algebra class award, the chorale class award, the Citizenship award and the Cadet Teacher of the Year award. She has received an academic letter and star for all four years in high school.

Her hobbies are drawing, Girl Scouts, piano, and musical activities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
