SGHS Students Earn Awards From Math Field Day Event At Southeast Missouri State

Several Ste. Genevieve High School students brought home awards from Southeast Missouri University’s Math Field Day, which took place on April 11 in Cape Girardeau.

The Mathletics team of Sydney Bumgardaner, Koby Hatfield, Clayton Huck  and Russell Kirkhuff placed first; and the medley team of Huck, Xavier Moore, Sam Stolzer, and Isaac Watson placed third.

Huck, a senior, also placed first overall in in analytical geometry. He finished second in calculus and second in non-routine problem solving level 2.

Jaida Greminger, a junior, placed second in algebra II.

Sophomore Addie Taylor placed second in algebra I.

Senior Abbey Engelmann placed third in elementary data analysis.

Andrew Miget placed third in number bases.

Xavier Moore placed third in sets and logic.
