SGCMH Welcomes 200th Baby Of Fiscal Year
Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital (SGCMH) announced the birth of baby boy Reegan Dayle Weiler, who became the 200th baby born during the hospital’s fiscal year.
Reaching 200 births in a year is no small feat for a rural hospital.
Dr. Tony Lam, MD, was the delivering physician.
Reegan was born on April 30 at 7:59 p.m., weighing 7 pounds 7 ounces.
The parents, Lyndsay Hoog and Brent Weiler, were excited and thrilled that their new little bundle of joy contributed to the hospital’s achievement.
“We felt very grateful and loved,” Hoog said. “The staff made delivering Reegan very comforting and easy to handle, and then we celebrated.”
The family — including two other boys, Dayton, 9 years old, and Brenner, 1 — was showered with gifts from SGCMH and the Partners Auxiliary along with gifts from area merchants, including Steve Plati of Shelter Insurance, Lori Burgert of Le Techniques Salon and Rozier’s Country Mart.
“It was a very exciting moment,” Hoog said. “One we will always remember.”
