Memorial Day Ceremony Set For Monday, May 27 At VFW

Ste. Genevieve VFW Post 2210 will host the annual Memorial Day ceremony, which is scheduled for Monday, May 27.

Those who would like to honor a deceased veteran by having the American flag included in the Avenue of Flags display outside the VFW Hall needs to bring the flag to the VFW Hall by Wednesday (May 22) night. Call the VFW Hall at 573-883-2207 for more information.

The Memorial Day observation will begin with Mass at St. Joseph Church in Zell at 9 a.m.

Light refreshments will be served in the hall at St. Joseph School after Mass.

The ceremony at the VFW will begin at 11 a.m. and the speaker will be Sterling Wells, a U.S. Army veteran who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Lunch will be served following the ceremony.
