Dorothy Lee Cassoutt

Dorothy Lee Cassoutt of St. Mary died on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. She was 82 years old.

She was born July 25, 1936, in St. Louis, a daughter of Harrison Jesse James Worley and Juanita (Huline) Worley.

She was married to Darrell Lee Cassoutt Sr. on November 22, 1958, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie Sue Moll and her husband Dennis of St. Mary, Gloria Maples and her husband Ronnie of Abilene, Texas; five sons, Darrell Cassoutt Jr. and his wife Karen of St. Mary, Tracy Cassoutt and his wife Kathy of Perryville, Kent Cassoutt of St. Mary, Murray Cassoutt and his wife Carolyn of St. Mary, Kyle Cassoutt and his wife Sandra of Perryville; three sisters, Josie Ritter of St. Mary, Betty Otte and her husband Charles of St. Mary, Joyce Doza and her husband Donald of St. Mary; two brothers, Jerry Worley and his wife Dottie of Cape Girardeau, Harry Komb and his wife Linda of St. Mary; two sisters-in-law, Berta Worley of St. Mary, Judy Worley of Ste. Genevieve; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Worley, Larry “Sam” Worley; one brother-in-law, Donald Ritter; one great-grandson, Braedon Pingel; and one step-granddaughter, Mendy Moll.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She absolutely loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services were Friday, May 17, 2019, at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Rev. Don Estes officiated. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in St. Mary. Basler Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Wildwood Integrative Healthcare.
