Clarence E. Denninger

Clarence E. Denninger of Perryville died on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 73 years old.

He was born June 15, 1945 in Cairo, Illinois, a son of Clarence J. Denninger and Violet M. (Jackson) Denninger.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Denninger of Perryville; two daughters, Gertrude “Nell” Holt of Ste. Genevieve, Caroline Knake of Ste. Genevieve; one  son, Patrick Holt and his wife Janet of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Gladys Moll and her husband Leonard of St. Mary, Erma Hogenmiller of Ste. Genevieve, Zelma Allen of St. Mary, Eunice Allen and her husband Lloyd of St. Mary; one brother, Stanley Denninger and his wife Susan of Perryville; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathie G. (Collinsworth) Denninger; and one sister, Elnora Brown.

He worked for more than 25 years at TG USA. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a hard worker and worked many jobs during his life and served in the U.S, Air Force.

Funeral services were Friday, May 10, at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Rev. Irvin Brooks officiated. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in St. Mary. Basler Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
