Valle Students Among Respect Life Writing Contest Winners
Three eighth-grade students from Valle Catholic were finalists in the Respect Life writing contest. More than 1,100 students in 65 schools submitted essays, and 130 were chosen as finalists. Finalists were recognized at a ceremony on May 1 and congratulated by Bishop Rivituso. Zip Rzeppa presented each student with a certificate. Students received a red LIFE shirt and posed for a group photo on the steps of the historic Cardinal Rigali Center.
Valle’s finalists were Clayton Drury, son of Scott and Amy Koetting Drury; Joseph Flieg, son of Greg and Susan Flieg; and Aly Bauman, daughter of Todd and Connie Bauman. (Photos, information from Valle Catholic Schools)
