Saturday Marks Opening Day For Farmers Market
The 29th season of the Ste. Genevieve Farmers Market opens Saturday, May 4.
The market operates from 7 a.m. to noon each Saturday from the start of May through the end of October at the Ste. Genevieve Knights of Columbus Hall pavilion, 600 Market St.
The Knights of Columbus organization is showing continued support of the market in allowing the use of the pavilion.
Customers this Saturday will be able to purchase a variety of home-canned goods, baked goods, tamales, fresh eggs, and a limited variety of early spring vegetables.
In weeks to come, the supply of vegetables and other goods will increase as the number of market vendors has also increased this year.
While shopping for produce, opening-day customers can also enjoy complimentary refreshments as a thank-you to the community.
