St. Louis Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Four-Wheeler Accident On Little Saline Road

A St. Louis man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident on April 21 on Little Saline Creek Road east of Cave Road, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Robert J. Blummer, 26. was driving a 1998 Honda FourTrax all-terrain vehicle eastbound on Saline Creek Road at around 6 p.m. when the accident took place. He attempted to make a right-hand turn, and the vehicle overturned.

Blummer was transported by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

He was not wearing a safety device, according to the report.

The accident took place around 12:10 p.m.

An unknown vehicle crossed the center line on Route C, forcing a 1989 International dump truck being driven by Lindell R. Thurston, 69, of Desloge to go off the roadway.

Thurston overcorrected, causing his vehicle to cross the center line. The front of his truck struck the left side of a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox being driven by Clarence Spray, 76, of Farmington.

Thurston, Spray, and a passenger in Spray’s vehicle, 73-year-old Nancy L. Spray of Farmington, all suffered minor injuries.

All three were taken by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

All three were wearing safety devices, according to the report.
