Special Road District A Awards Contracts For Two Paving Projects

The Special Road District A board on April 9 awarded bids for two upcoming projects to Vern Bauman Contracting.

Bids were opened during the April 9 meeting of the board.

Bauman bid $63.89 per ton, with a total of 604 tons for $38,590 to pave Roth Quarry Road. Jokerst, Inc. bid $64.00 per ton for 624 tons of asphalt, for a total bid of $39,936.

For overlaying a mile and a half of Quarrytown Road and six-tenths of a mile of Bourbon Road, Bauman bid $62.12 per ton, with an estimated 2,593 tons, for a total of $161,077. Jokerst bid $64.50 per ton, with an estimated 2,615 tons, for a total of $168,668.
