Giesler Court Appearance Scheduled For May 21
A court appearance for Elizabeth Giesler was set for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, in Ste. Genevieve front of Judge Wendy Wexler Horn.
Giesler, former assistant principal at Ste. Genevieve Middle School, faces six felony counts — two charges each of statutory sodomy in the second degree, sexual contact with a student, and statutory rape in the second degree.
According to the Missouri Courts website, at the March 19 court appearance for a plea and trial setting, the defense requested — with no objection from the state — to pass until May 21.
In February, the court sustained the defendant’s motion for a change of judge from Jerel Lee Poor II to Wexler Horn.
