Vehicle Rear-Ended on Interstate 55

A Ste. Genevieve man was injured in a two-car crash at mile marker 158 on Interstate 55 on March 11, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Dwaine A, Weaver, 37, of Ste. Genevieve was driving a 2013 Kia Optima northbound at around 6:40 a.m. when his car struck the rear of a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt being driven by Richard Leon, 56, of Ste. Genevieve.

Leon suffered minor injuries and was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.

Both men were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
