J.S. Alberici Construction Company Of St. Louis Submits Lowest Bid To Install Facing On Dock
J.S. Alberici Construction Company of St. Louis had the lowest of five bids to put a smooth metal dock facing on the dock at the Port of New Bourbon.
Bids were opened at the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission offices in Perryville last Friday morning.
Alberici’s bid was the lowest at $474,590.
Seven firms, “all reputable, good companies” in the words of engineer Chris Koehler, picked up bid packages, with five opting to make bids for the project.
The other four bids were from Frickie Management & Contracting of Murphysboro, Illinois, for $497,845; St. Louis Bridge for $520,719; Millstone-Weber Construction of St. Charles for $750,826; and Artisan Contracting of Bloomsdale for $847,489.
Members if the Port Authority board are reviering the bids this week to make certain the low bid meets all the criteria for the project.
