Tennessee Man Injured In Truck Accident On I-55

A Tennessee man suffered minor injuries in a tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 55 on February 27, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident took place around 3:55 a.m.

Gerald J. Brenneman, 61, of Chuckey, Tennessee, was driving a 2016 International Conventional northbound on I-55 at mile marker 145 when the accident took place.

Brenneman’s vehicle travelled of the right side of the roadway. The undercarriage struck a concrete culvert and trees, causing the vehicle to rotate. The trailer became detached and came to rest on its right side off the right side of the roadway.

Brenneman was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.

He was wearing a safety device, according to the report.
