Silent Auction Will Benefit Programs At Linden House

French Colonial America, the properties of the campus of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Missouri, will host a silent auction this Friday, February 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with the Fourth Friday Art Walk.

The photography of Rheanna Moll Wolk will be on display as well at the Linden House, located at 116 S. Main St. across the street from the Louis Bolduc House.

The silent auction will serve as a fundraiser for the “Hands-On History House,” which is what French Colonial America has planned for the Linden House. The Hands-On History House will offer fun and educational hands-on activities and content for young visitors to Ste. Genevieve on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning on March 23.

Several local businesses have pulled together to offer items for the auction in support of the initiative. Some of the items up for auction are an area rug from Ochs Home Furnishings, fire pits from Cotton’s Ace Hardware, and gift packages/certificates from Sassafras Creek Originals, AutoZone, Plaza Tire Service, Quality Muffler, Ste. Genevieve Do-it Center and many more.

Cookies and cocoa also will be served.
