The Gallery Association of Ste. Genevieve, local art galleries, studios and other art spaces will kick off the 2019 season of monthly Fourth Friday Art Walks on Friday, February 22.
From 6 to 9 p.m. that evening, galleries and studios will feature art exhibits open to the public.
The 2019 Fourth Friday Art Walk season will bring established professional and amateur artists from Ste. Genevieve and across the region to exhibit in Ste. Genevieve. Pop-up exhibits will be featured throughout the year, as the series will mark its 11th anniversary this summer.
Complimentary finger foods, refreshments, wine tasting and meet-the-artist receptions often are part of the Fourth Friday Art Walk experience.
After the walk concludes at 9 p.m., there will be an “after party” event at a selected location to be determined.
The series will take place on the fourth Friday from February through November.
Founded in 2018, the Gallery Association of Ste. Genevieve is an initiative to help coordinate and promote art spaces within the historic district. The group’s mission is to multiply connections among artists, enthusiasts and collectors; improve access to exhibit spaces; and build a more vibrant city and regional art community.
