Ste. Genevieve County Man Suffers Serious Injuries When SUV Strikes UTV On Route B

A Ste. Genevieve County man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Route B south of Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County on January 20, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident took place around 11:22 a.m.

Stephanie R. Finley, 27, of Perryville, was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey eastbound on a private drive and turning onto Route B.

Jacob Byington, 25, of Ste. Genevieve, was driving a 2018 Polaris UTV (1000cc) southbound on Route B.

Finley failed to yield to Byington’s vehicle, and the front center of the Dodge Journey struck the front right of the UTV.

Finley suffered minor injuries and was taken to Set. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.

Byington was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital by Air Evac.

Byington was wearing a safety device, according to the report.

Finley was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
