Arthur M. Bauman of Zell died on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center. He was 83 years old.
He was born April 2, 1935, in Zell, a son of Meinrad E. Bauman and Theresa (Eckenfels) Bauman.
He was married to Pat (Klein) Bauman on October 22, 1960, and she survives in Zell.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Tom Bauman and his wife Christine of Zell, Paul Bauman and his wife Mandy of Zell; one sister, Marylou Kettinger and her husband Jerry of Arnold; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Seth, Owen and Nolan Bauman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Adrian Bauman; one sister-in-law, Doris Bauman; and one grandchild, Rebecca Anne Bauman.
He was a member of St. Joseph Parish and Zell Area Jaycees. He retired from Special Road District A in July of 2000. He and his brother Adrian spent many years owning and operating their family farm. His family was his greatest joy. He loved family, farming, animals and his second family at the Care Center.
Funeral services were Monday, January 28, at St. Joseph Church in Zell. Monsignor Jeffrey Knight officiated. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Zell. Basler Funeral Home of Ste. Genevieve handled the arrangements.
