Advertising Plan For St. Louis County Papers To Be Finalized Next Month
Returning to one of its favorite advertising mediums, the city of Ste. Genevieve’s Tourism Tax Commission (TTC) agreed on January 22 to consider placing full-page advertorials in the spring day-trip special sections of the Webster-Kirkwood Times and the South County Times.
The commission will try to interest local businesses in taking individual ads on the page to defray some of the expense and will make a decision at its February meeting.
Cabot initially proposed a half-page ad. She brought an example of the fall travel guide to show members.
“If I remember right, we got very good feedback on that particular one,” commission chairman Jack Koetting said.
“Previously,” Cabot said, “I would do a banner, like a quarter-page banner, and invite any merchants to participate who wanted to participate below the banner.”
Last year, she said, a half-page was run in the spring and a full page in the fall guide.
