Saturday’s Weather Created Traffic Hazards

Interstate 55 at mile marker 148, just south of Highway 32, was closed for a time on Saturday following a crash that reportedly involved 15 vehicles, including a Zell Fire Department vehicle that was responding to the scene.

The Missouri Department of Transportation joined the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office in asking people to stay off the roads on Saturday as the winter weather created hazardous driving conditions.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Schools in Ste. Genevieve County remained closed on Tuesday [January 22] after observing the Martin Luther King holiday on January 21.
