R-II School District Superintendent, Board Review Preliminary Calendar For 2019-20

Ste. Genevieve R-II School District board members during their monthly meeting on January 15 reviewed the tentative 2019-20 school calendar and watched a detailed presentation from the high school business teachers.

Superintendent Dr. Julie Flieg presented the calendar, which begins with professional development days for new teachers from Monday, August 5, to Wednesday, August 7.

The Missouri High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) “dead period” of no contact between students and teachers or coaches is Saturday, June 29, through Sunday, July 7.

School would start on Thursday, August 15, and homecoming would be Friday, October 4, if the calendar is adopted.

Graduation is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2020.

“This is the first draft of the calendar tonight. It is just for review,” Flieg said, adding that input will be solicited from faculty and staff before taking it back to the calendar committee to hammer out a final version.
