Two Men From Cape Girardeau Injured In Accident On I-55 In County
Two Cape Girardeau men were injured in a single-vehicle accident at mile marker 164.8 on Interstate 55 on January 12, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 6:48 a.m.
Ju Yan, 19, of Cape Girardeau, was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees.
Yan was not reported to have suffered any injuries, but two passengers in the vehicle did.
Paerhatijiang Pierduosi, 21, male, of Cape Giraradeau, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
Zeguang Wang, 20, of Cape Girardeau, suffered minor injuries and also was transported by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
All three were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
