Valle needed some momentum going into its match last Thursday against Saxony Lutheran, and the Warriors got a boost when standout hitter Riley Siebert returned to the lineup after an injury at the jamboree.
Valle didn’t waste time building substantial leads throughout the night, as the Crusaders committed several unforced errors, and Valle snapped a three-game drought in a 25-11, 25-13 sweep at home.
“I think Saxony came out a little bit flat and we were ready to play,” Valle coach Nancy Fischer said. “It was kind of a little bit of a morale boost for us to have Riley in the lineup tonight for the first time in three and a half weeks.”
