DE SOTO — Ste. Genevieve started its season without standout hitter Julia McKlin, but almost as soon as she returned, the Dragons dealt with another key injury.

This time, the injury went to setter Brittney Kreitler early last week.

While Ste. Genevieve showed that it could compete with host De Soto on Wednesday night, the visiting Dragons struggled when several passes were made close to the net, and De Soto swept Ste. Genevieve 25-19, 25-19.
