Gary F. “Peaches” Vaeth of Ste. Genevieve died on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at his home in Ste. Genevieve. He was 60 years old.
He was born April 13, 1959 in Perryville, a son of John J. Vaeth Sr. and Lorene (Kreitler) Vaeth.
He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Grass and her husband Mike of Ste. Genevieve, Amanda Darian and her husband Tim of Bloomsdale; special friend Pam Hayes of Ste. Genevieve; three sisters, Mary Dasenbrock and her husband Kenny of Effingham, Illinois, Joyce Gant and her husband Mike of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, Rose Green and her husband David of Ste. Genevieve; one sister-in-law, Geralyn Vaeth of Ste. Genevieve; and two grandchildren, Katherine Grass and Annabelle Grass.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John J. Vaeth Jr.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037, Sons of the American Legion, and the Ste. Genevieve Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his cabin, gardening, canning, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, August 5, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. David Miloscia officiated. Burial was to be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve at a later date. Basler Funeral Home of Ste. Genevieve handled the arrangements.
