The International Hearing Society (IHS) announced that Janette Call, ACA, BC-HIS, an Audioprosthologist and licensed hearing instrument specialist at Better Hearing Solutions in Ste Genevieve, was a first-time All-Star Award recipient this year.

The award recognizes outstanding society members who have invested years in the society and the IHS Code of Ethics, which upholds ethical standards when interacting with the community, patients, their families and other professionals.

Call, a hearing instrument specialist since 2003, is celebrating 10 years with IHS, which is the only association to represent hearing aid dispensing professionals worldwide.

“It is an honor to be an IHS All-Star Award recipient this year,” Call said. “I strive to provide the best hearing healthcare for my patients and being an IHS member helps me do that. I look forward to many more years of membership and serving the community.

“I started working in the hearing healthcare field in 1998 and have worked almost every position in the office. I opened my private practice in 2008 and enjoy being able to offer superior service and a wide range of hearing instruments to my patients. My passion is bringing the best hearing to every patient.”

Better Hearing Solutions was established in 2008 to serve the hearing-impaired community in Ste Genevieve. The office is located at 715 Ste Genevieve Dr. and can be reached at 573-883-2223.

All-Star recognition occurs during the 68th annual IHS Convention and Expo on September 21.

“I love helping people hear better,” Call said. “The satisfaction that comes with helping a grandparent hear their grandchildren laugh or seeing a patient excel in their career because they can hear better is rewarding and I’m thankful to be in this profession, serving my community.”
